Swimming

In the first instance please contact the club new entrant administrator.

Once you have made contact they will ask you for details, which include name, date of birth, contact details, swimming ability (if any) and any medical conditions. At this stage you will be advised of the process to join the club;

a. Non Swimmer or have some ability but not avanced in each stroke;

Once onto the waiting list, you will receive a call to attend an assessment session, which is currently held on a Monday. If there is space in the allocated group you will be given a start date. If no spaces are available you will be contacted once one is.

Note: At times the waiting list for specific groups can be several months (you will be advised), however we can offer interim training with a smaller club that we have partnered. Please ask for details.

Please note that entry into the club is strictly first come first served based upon entry on to the waiting list and availability within each group.

b. Advanced Competitive Swimmers or Masters;

You will be asked to attend an evaluation/ trial session. This will be organised by the waiting list administrator with the Head Coach and yourself. Normally there is not a waiting list for these trials, however the Head Coach will judge each case on its own merits and the availability of space within the groups.

c. Guest Swimmers (fall into 2 categories);

1. Advanced competitive 2nd claim swimmers, using the clubs resources to introduce more pool hours into their training programme.

2. Normal competitve swimmers who do not have access to their swimming facilities for a temporary period eg visiting.

Entry into the club for these swimmers is based upon completion of the Guest Swimmer Form which should be handed into the clubs reception desk on a Thursdday evening at Summerfields in Hastings, and available space within the required group. Guests are charged a different rate to members (details are available from the waiting list administrator).

You are welcome to visit the swimming pool to see the club in training, the best time is on a Thursday evening when all groups swim. Please ask for assistance at the clubs reception desk. If you wish to speak to the Head Coach or Head Teacher you must arrange a time though contacting the new entrants administrator.
